In case it helps anyone else to clarify this…

The widget you put in the sidebar isn’t called ‘NextGEN Widget’ – I had that on and it does a thumbnail gallery. The widget you want is called ‘NextGEN Slideshow’. May be obvious to most but I missed it for a while.

Once you have that, you see the script code (that you’ve shortened, above) and can go and change the dimensions, like Raul says, above. There are two instances of width and height – one set in ‘flashvars’ and the other after ’swfobject.embedSWF(…’.

Im running smooth gallery for nextgen and no matter what i do i cant get this to work…. any suggestions?? I basically want to put it in a custom template which has 1 column for the text and 1 for the gallery and a series of other un-editable images (which are hard coded into the template)

at the moment the code simply sits on the page and is floated right, but obviously i need to make it into a workable column.

Howdy!
Can you tell me how you configured NGG to show the next image in the gallery on mouse click (as seen at http://www.niceweesites.com)? All I can get mine to do is close the image/pop-up and return to the image list – I’ve been fighting with this for a couple of days

Thanks for the fix though I’m having troubles with proper sytnax. Can you help? I’m running WordPress 2.8.4 and the latest nextgen smoothgalley (1.2). Here’s a snippet of the code in question:

Ruth – What a beautiful picture of your cat! I hope you don’t mind, but it has taken me this long to find your blog, really enjoying it. You have such a great eye for detail and your photos are amazing. I also am going to have to ask you for cupcake baking / decorating advice, as I have recently become slightly obsessed and am buying an icing bag tomorrow (!) There’s always more than one way to skin a cat. I just went in and switched the settings on all my plugins and put them into the templates manually.

Regardless, thanks for the bit of code–it works great now, and will let me do what I need to.
